What Data We Collect and Why

When You Buy a Physical Book

If you order a print book through our website, we collect:

• Name and delivery address
• Email address
• Payment details (processed by Stripe — we never see your full card number)

We share your name and address with Lulu (our print-on-demand and fulfilment partner) solely to print and ship your order. We retain order data for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.

When You Click to Buy an eBook

We do not sell eBooks directly. We link to third-party platforms (XinXii, Thalia, Google Play Books, Apple Books, Kobo, Weltbild). Those platforms handle the purchase entirely under their own privacy policies. We receive no personal data from these transactions.

Website Analytics

We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics tool hosted on our own infrastructure in Germany. GoatCounter collects no personal data and sets no cookies.

Cookies

We use no tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe may set a technical cookie during checkout to process your payment securely.

International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (in particular Stripe and Lulu) may process personal data outside the UK or EEA. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are in place to protect your data.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
